When you entered the race I wrote to you about a super bowl analogy and now that this primary is close to the big day, I thought of another sports analogy that McCain is kind of fond of , boxing. McCain has been pounding you all month and has bloodied you up a bit, but remember all those Rocky movies. Rocky shouldn't have had a face left, let alone the vision to come up with that knock out punch. You have that chance with this coming debate and my thinking is you need to do it in the opening remarks. The three areas that you will be able to take McCain's famous snickering off his face and take him off his plan of attack that his advisers have dreamed up for him.
First, give McCain the kudos that will bring that famous snicker to his face. Tell him, John, your scorch earth on me and other conservatives was pretty good and you got some good jabs at my expense, but lets take a look at your courtship of conservatives for the past twelve years. If I remember correctly you were more of a jilted bride left at the alter during your first presidential run with George W. Bush. You were so mad that that you even flirted with the idea of joining John Kerry as his VP during Bush's second term. In the meantime you made yourself the pre madonna of the media by being the maverick that the media loved so much. You simply had to bash conservative ideas and agendas. How about those famous signature bills of yours when you crossed the aisle , like McCain - Fiengold, Ted Kennedy's Amnesty or your Gang of Fourteen that wanted to take control of Supreme Court nominations. The people didn't like Amnesty then did they? The Supreme court didn't agree with your assertion on free speech eaither. You have been Arizona's Senator for so long, but what does Arizona have to show for it? What did you do to secure and control the border during those many years other than say that Arizona citizens just won't do the jobs that illegals would. You think that is true today with Arizona's unemployment at record highs and our state in a fiscal crisis? When it comes to Arizona's needs, Senator McCain you have failed miserably.
Second, lets tell the people how you treat your friends especially your conservative friends. At one time I was a friend, but somewhere along the line something happened and you and your staff decided to throw everything but the kitchen sink at me in order to ruin my ability to take care of my family. Many of the things that you have come up with in your multi million dollar advertising blitz , what's it up to now $22 million? Most of that crap is an exaggeration that your paid consultants had to really stretch to even come close to being plausible. I get it you don't like me, but look at what you allowed your paid handlers do to the only bright spot in your last presidential campaign, Sarah Palin. You allowed your attack dogs to ridicule, besmirch, defame, make fun of and simply try to destroy her and her family, while you just stayed in the background. Remember your famous appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, you couldn't even come up with Sarah's name as a possible 2012 presidential contender. Sarah on the other hand has shown the world that she is the political rock star that your handlers were to stupid to recognize and totally misused her talents. She has also shown more grace and character than you by honoring her debt to you by giving that endorsement that you so desperately wanted.
Third your handlers have mocked me and millions of others that want our constitution to be adhered to. When did it become acceptable that laws of the United States apply to some and not others. Every time we take an oath of office we pledge allegiance to the constitution and to the laws of the United States. Have you always honored your pledge or have you looked the other way when it comes to select issues that are not politically correct? Senator, if you had done your job and used your political clout those many years, Arizona would not be in the political quagmire that you in fact help to create. You cannot be Johnny come lately and expect the people of Arizona to forget what you haven't done for our great state. I'm also going to bring up a politically incorrect topic that is a requirement of our constitution. If you had had the political will it would be a non issue, today. During the campaign a congressional committee was formed to check into your viability as a natural born citizen in order to be on the ballot for POTUS. During this same period lawsuits were coming forth questioning Barack Obama's eligibility, however no congressional committee was formed to confirm his status. Why didn't you demand equal treatment under the law? Did your handlers say that the media would mock and call you a " birther " if you did so? Once again your in action on a required duty as Senator to uphold the constitution has allowed the media to change a requirement of the constitution to be ignored. You released all of your records for all to see but did not have the will to demand that your opponent do the same. You allowed Barack Obama to seal of his records which includes his long form birth certificate, all documents from grade school to graduate school and the fact that he has used multiple security numbers throughout this period. So once again your in actions are responsible for this question mark in our American history. Good job , Senator McCain , you will go down in history for something.
Jd, you know more details than I could even imagine but this monologue is the frustration of all us who are every day citizens that no longer have a voice in our government. John McCain proudly boosts that he is our last line of defense, but he is the problem and has been. While you were on the radio and were no longer restricted by the strings of the office you told of the behind the scenes scenarios that gave us a glimpse of our government and not just the ramifications of it. That meant a lot and many of us were very appreciative of it.
The Birther stuff is going to be tricky but it could become a sound bite that would play " Hayworth pins the birther issue squarely on McCain's shoulders". Here is more information that that is a tie in to Arizona 1070 and the birther issue. Hector Maldonado is a legal Mexican immigrant that is running for Senate in the State of Missouri along with 10 others in the GOP. Robin Carnahan the Democratic Secretary of State only asked Maldonado to prove his citizenship in order to be on the ballot. Maldonado confirmed this with all the other candidates that they were not asked. While Maldonado was giving Carnahan the required documents which included his naturalization papers, Mexican birth certificate, tour of duty papers for Iraq and Afghanistan and letters of recommendations from his superior officers, he asked if these documents were going to be made public for all to see. She replied of course they would. He then asked if he could see President Obama's papers just like those that he had just submitted. Carnahan went blank and refused any further comment. Imagine a Democrat asking a Mexican immigrant for his papers! Eric Holder, you think you should be investigating Missouri and not Arizona! Go to www.hectorforfreedom.com see this guys positions he comes right from the grassroots. Also go to http://wwworlytaitzesq.com/7p=12212 and see the brief that Orly Taitz has submitted to Justice Clarence Thomas. she is throwing everything at this activist Judge Land.
These are my two cents I hope you can use them. Keep the fight going and throw everything at him and don't be like the typical GOP candidate that just sits there and takes it because he thinks he is above the fray.
