She's just Sarah...It is what is!

Today, Friday October 22, 2010, I got to shake Sarah Palin's hand. Why would I want to talk about it since I have always been a person that is not that easily impressed by one's celebrity status for celebrities usually are not what they appear to be.

I have been intrigued by Sarah Palin well before John McCain picked her as his VP. I followed Adam Brinkley's www.PalinforVP.com to discover that she wasn't your usual run of the mill politician that wants a title but does little else. She got into PTA not because she wanted to but rather to simply try to make a difference for her young family. This simple decision to get involved and to try to make a difference has turned her into national figure both loved and hated by millions of people.

One of the best pieces written is " Who is Sarah Palin " by Rebecca A. Mansour posted at www.conservatives4palin.com. RAM brings you into Sarah's world where a father teaches his children to have " discipline and fortitude, as well as love of the outdoors and to be self-reliant -- in hunting, fishing and sports." She also clarifies many misconceptions while giving thoughtful insight into Sarah Palin.

Family members and others have described her as shy and reserved growing up. This particular point I noticed as Sarah first entered the walk way cleared for her to ascend to the podium. She clutched her baby son Trig and had look of reservation about entering this narrow passage way with so many on lookers trying to get a glimpse , a picture or even a touch . I could only imagine what is going through her mind in regards to her protecting her son. As she passes and greets that magnetic smile appears and you begin to see the transformation of the personality that is about to take the stage. Her confidence is now in full bloom as she works the crowd in the rope line like a pro. Once on stage she begins with her " Do you love your freedom?"
which gets the crowd fired up. Fired up they remain.

What I found amazing is that this whole time she has held on to Trig even though there was a baby stroller, she never once gave that child to anyone. She gave the speech, she shook hands, she signed autographs all the while carry Trig in one arm. Remember Trig is now almost three years old and has some weight to him. I thought to myself can you imagine Barrack Obama trying to do this?

Once off stage all the local politicians along with the local press begin to surround her and the questions and answer sessions begins. In watching her response I got glimpses of the reservations but she manages to keep the smile and not show any sign of annoyance that everyone wants to keep her there while she so wants to bring her child back to the bus. As she was passing the girl next to me managed to get her Going Rogue Book out for an autograph and I wanted to speak to her, but I simpley stuck out my hand and she shook it but by now the reservation was back on her face and her only concern was getting Trig back to the bus.

I have to mention this little tidbit that I also noticed. Remember the hoopla about the cloths that the media tried to make. The little grey sweater that she is wearing on the cover of her new Book " America by the Heart", she was wearing that today. A cloths diva would not be caught dead wearing something so recognizable. Sarah has made her Red Blazer a staple of her campaign stops. She has style but she is not obsessed with cloths.

The title of this piece "She's just Sarah and it is what it is " comes from the executive producer Mark Burnett of TLC's" Sarah Palin's Alaska". He closes an interview with those words. I thought them to be a proper compliment to this woman. He understood that Sarah Palin is her own woman, with her own mind and her own way of doing things. she is genuine and real. There are no airs about her and what you see is what you get.

If she were to run for POTUS does anyone believe that she would be your typical machine candidate that does and says what his handlers want him to say and do? Her track record definitely shows what we can expect from her. She has a real problem with politicians that blatantly have " Conflicts of Interests" and a sense of entitlements for being in office. They simply forget who they are working for. She believes in fiscal responsibility and is always aware that it is the peoples money not big government's. She has developed a spine of steel and will fight back whenever she or her positions and principles are under seize by the media or the opposing party. Political correctness has no hold on this woman, she tells it like it is. What this country needs the most is the breaking up of the Good Old Boys Club in Washington DC and she cut her teeth in breaking Alaska's. We the people will love seeing that!

Open Letter to Sarah

This week that has passed as far as symbolism has been a very good week for you and your family. Bristol is making quite an impression on DWTS and you have been given an indirect yet powerful boost in your standing as leader of the change that is coming. Senator Tune by stating that his decision to run for POTUS is contingent with your decision to run or not has shown that you are the leader that has emerged.

As a follower of yours since Adam Brinkley started Sarah for VP website, you have always distinguished yourself by avoiding the normal and safe paths to achieve your goals. You have shown that you will tackle any situation head on and not worry about personal consequences. You've got a strong family that is not swayed by the mean spirited attempts to undermine you and yours solely for the purpose of winning a political advantage. You are tough and determined.

My reason for writing this letter is to go back in immediate history to point out mistakes that have allowed presidential administrations be defined by. Jimmy Carter's public malaise through his tenure. His arrogant mismanagement of the economy brought us to levels only seen in third world countries. Ronald Reagan provided a blue print to follow in restoring a failed economy but he to failed to reign in government spending. For every new dollar that the government took in revenue he allowed the congress to spend $1.80. Thus forever giving the opposition the ruse that he increased the deficit during his tenure. George Bush I given the reigns of the longest period of economic growth and a popularity rating in the 90% range placed to much priority in foreign involvement and not enough on domestic issues. He was not a believer in trickle down economics and willingly broke his pledge for no new taxes which was the beginning of the dismantling the Reagan years. Bill Clinton mistakenly took his election as a mandate to take the country to the left of center and to make this country like Europe with it's socialist form of government. 1994 showed that the people of the United States would have none of that and gave the republicans control of congress and the purse strings in over 40 years of democratic dominance. Bill Clinton was wise enough to realize that he needed to move right of center and proclaim that the era of bog government was over just allowing him to be reelected even though he was impeached in the House of Representatives. George Bush II had the potential to be regarded as a great president in history, yet he allowed his advisers to change his image from a" cowboy" to a "compassionate conservative". George Bush II lost his presidency when he allowed the media to paint the Abeu Grab prisoner treatment as more horrific than the beheading of US citizens or the burned bodies hanging from a bridge overpass . Carl Rove made the biggest miscalculation of the Bush years by not responding to this. Barrack Obama has so misread his hope and change message that he has placed himself in the peoples eyes as Jimmy Carter II.

The public is in such a state of fear and lack of direction in the economy that 30 days from now the largest change in political history could take place. If it does happen, will it be politics as usual or will real change in government begin to take hold. " The Pledge " from the Republicans is a band aid on a severe wound. The Government has become so large that it will take every dime that every individual earns and it still would not be enough to cub its appetite. The control of the money that is our tax dollars must be taken away from the federal government and be given back to each individual states. Neil Bortz's " Fair Tax " would be a great way to put the Federal Government on a diet that it could live with and we the people could control how much we pay in taxes.

Sarah, as the leader of this wave of change you need to call in your markers and get a commitment from the new freshman class to have the " Fair Tax" legislation that has been buried these many years brought up discussed and voted upon. It requires that we are looking at real change and not lip service that we are so use to.

Sarah, your Face Book Posting would be a great start.

Hey Arizona - What are you about to do?

The clock is ticking and the most important primary in Arizona's history is within days. So Arizonians what are you about to do?

Are you once again going to fall for the rhetoric that is all over the airwaves and the use and abuse of the word conservative?

Are you going to pinch your nose and vote for someone that you will then spend your time complaining about?

Are you going to research the candidate and see for yourself what the candidate stands for?

Are you going to talk to people and see what they think?

Are you going to list what you like and what you don't like about the candidates running and then determine which way to vote?

Are you going to give money to the candidate that you believe will do the best job so that his message can be communicated?

I and my family have already voted. I talk to everyone that will listen about what I perceive is the problems that politicians have created for us. I have sent money to candidates that I believe will do what I want done.

So Arizona, what have you done and what are you about to do?

A Knock Out Punch Idea

Jd

When you entered the race I wrote to you about a super bowl analogy and now that this primary is close to the big day, I thought of another sports analogy that McCain is kind of fond of , boxing. McCain has been pounding you all month and has bloodied you up a bit, but remember all those Rocky movies. Rocky shouldn't have had a face left, let alone the vision to come up with that knock out punch. You have that chance with this coming debate and my thinking is you need to do it in the opening remarks. The three areas that you will be able to take McCain's famous snickering off his face and take him off his plan of attack that his advisers have dreamed up for him.

First, give McCain the kudos that will bring that famous snicker to his face. Tell him, John, your scorch earth on me and other conservatives was pretty good and you got some good jabs at my expense, but lets take a look at your courtship of conservatives for the past twelve years. If I remember correctly you were more of a jilted bride left at the alter during your first presidential run with George W. Bush. You were so mad that that you even flirted with the idea of joining John Kerry as his VP during Bush's second term. In the meantime you made yourself the pre madonna of the media by being the maverick that the media loved so much. You simply had to bash conservative ideas and agendas. How about those famous signature bills of yours when you crossed the aisle , like McCain - Fiengold, Ted Kennedy's Amnesty or your Gang of Fourteen that wanted to take control of Supreme Court nominations. The people didn't like Amnesty then did they? The Supreme court didn't agree with your assertion on free speech eaither. You have been Arizona's Senator for so long, but what does Arizona have to show for it? What did you do to secure and control the border during those many years other than say that Arizona citizens just won't do the jobs that illegals would. You think that is true today with Arizona's unemployment at record highs and our state in a fiscal crisis? When it comes to Arizona's needs, Senator McCain you have failed miserably.

Second, lets tell the people how you treat your friends especially your conservative friends. At one time I was a friend, but somewhere along the line something happened and you and your staff decided to throw everything but the kitchen sink at me in order to ruin my ability to take care of my family. Many of the things that you have come up with in your multi million dollar advertising blitz , what's it up to now $22 million? Most of that crap is an exaggeration that your paid consultants had to really stretch to even come close to being plausible. I get it you don't like me, but look at what you allowed your paid handlers do to the only bright spot in your last presidential campaign, Sarah Palin. You allowed your attack dogs to ridicule, besmirch, defame, make fun of and simply try to destroy her and her family, while you just stayed in the background. Remember your famous appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, you couldn't even come up with Sarah's name as a possible 2012 presidential contender. Sarah on the other hand has shown the world that she is the political rock star that your handlers were to stupid to recognize and totally misused her talents. She has also shown more grace and character than you by honoring her debt to you by giving that endorsement that you so desperately wanted.

Third your handlers have mocked me and millions of others that want our constitution to be adhered to. When did it become acceptable that laws of the United States apply to some and not others. Every time we take an oath of office we pledge allegiance to the constitution and to the laws of the United States. Have you always honored your pledge or have you looked the other way when it comes to select issues that are not politically correct? Senator, if you had done your job and used your political clout those many years, Arizona would not be in the political quagmire that you in fact help to create. You cannot be Johnny come lately and expect the people of Arizona to forget what you haven't done for our great state. I'm also going to bring up a politically incorrect topic that is a requirement of our constitution. If you had had the political will it would be a non issue, today. During the campaign a congressional committee was formed to check into your viability as a natural born citizen in order to be on the ballot for POTUS. During this same period lawsuits were coming forth questioning Barack Obama's eligibility, however no congressional committee was formed to confirm his status. Why didn't you demand equal treatment under the law? Did your handlers say that the media would mock and call you a " birther " if you did so? Once again your in action on a required duty as Senator to uphold the constitution has allowed the media to change a requirement of the constitution to be ignored. You released all of your records for all to see but did not have the will to demand that your opponent do the same. You allowed Barack Obama to seal of his records which includes his long form birth certificate, all documents from grade school to graduate school and the fact that he has used multiple security numbers throughout this period. So once again your in actions are responsible for this question mark in our American history. Good job , Senator McCain , you will go down in history for something.

Jd, you know more details than I could even imagine but this monologue is the frustration of all us who are every day citizens that no longer have a voice in our government. John McCain proudly boosts that he is our last line of defense, but he is the problem and has been. While you were on the radio and were no longer restricted by the strings of the office you told of the behind the scenes scenarios that gave us a glimpse of our government and not just the ramifications of it. That meant a lot and many of us were very appreciative of it.

The Birther stuff is going to be tricky but it could become a sound bite that would play " Hayworth pins the birther issue squarely on McCain's shoulders". Here is more information that that is a tie in to Arizona 1070 and the birther issue. Hector Maldonado is a legal Mexican immigrant that is running for Senate in the State of Missouri along with 10 others in the GOP. Robin Carnahan the Democratic Secretary of State only asked Maldonado to prove his citizenship in order to be on the ballot. Maldonado confirmed this with all the other candidates that they were not asked. While Maldonado was giving Carnahan the required documents which included his naturalization papers, Mexican birth certificate, tour of duty papers for Iraq and Afghanistan and letters of recommendations from his superior officers, he asked if these documents were going to be made public for all to see. She replied of course they would. He then asked if he could see President Obama's papers just like those that he had just submitted. Carnahan went blank and refused any further comment. Imagine a Democrat asking a Mexican immigrant for his papers! Eric Holder, you think you should be investigating Missouri and not Arizona! Go to www.hectorforfreedom.com see this guys positions he comes right from the grassroots. Also go to http://wwworlytaitzesq.com/7p=12212 and see the brief that Orly Taitz has submitted to Justice Clarence Thomas. she is throwing everything at this activist Judge Land.

These are my two cents I hope you can use them. Keep the fight going and throw everything at him and don't be like the typical GOP candidate that just sits there and takes it because he thinks he is above the fray.

My conversation with a Russian Immigrant

This past week a gentleman came into my shop seeking a possible solution to his dilemma. Once he described in his broken yet accurate English what he was trying to accomplish, I provided my suggestion that would aide him in his quest. Since my shop deals in art from framing to a gallery of local artist, he asked if he could browse around. which I replied by all means.

Our conversation began as he showed appreciation of the various styles of artist and how they were able to achieve their desired results. He stated that he was into art and that some of the items the masks in particular if they were to made of European stone could garner high prices and bring in the very high end clientele. I agreed but I told him my customer base would not pay those kind of prices. I continued to tell him that I designed my shop to appeal to a market base that would appreciate what I had to offer. In fact the layout of the shop would discourage those that could not afford what I was selling and appeal to those that could. My many years of experience and loyal customer base has allowed my store to grow through word of mouth. I continued to tell him that in my twenty one years of business I have grown and have not had a significant down year until 2009. My sales this past year was down 40%. He asked Why?

I went into my often repeated comments that 2009 could have been avoided if only the dumb ass politicians would have looked at the only remedy( eliminate capital Gains Tax so money would have come back into into the economy) that could have avoided the rampant fear that has become prevalent with the American Consumer. I said every one was affected by the actions of Congress that allowed the stock market to crash. Whether you were in the Market or not every person was effected. What transpired in October of 2008 trillions upon trillions of dollars were lost or taken out of the economy both here and around the world. At this point he asked me a question " Do you know were the money comes from? " I replied the Federal Reserve. He said you are the first person that I have asked this question that knew the answer. He continued to say that too many people in this country don't know how there country works. He stated How was the Federal Reserve allowed to be and be given the power to print money at will? I was intrigued by this man because he has more knowledge of the United States than a majority of its natural born citizens. I brought him to a photo display of the only pictures that I have of my youth. In seeing these pictures he realized that I was not of this country my self.

Now that we had something in common we continued to talk politics. He told me that he didn't like what was happening. The American people that are buying into Obama Socialism have no idea as to what they are getting themselves into. He left Russia because when he first got the opportunity to read about what the Communist elites had done to his people( He was Georgian), he was appalled. The Communist had achieved there desired results in making there people passive and only concerned about today. The past and the future was none of there concern. The idea of a country that allows individual freedom was to much of a draw to ignore. He did everything the right way to get here. Once here he began learning everything he could about this country and now he is of the realization that global forces have got its grips on the United States way of life and are determined to change it so that it conforms to the rest of the world.

I interjected my thoughts that I agreed with some of the things he was saying, but I still believed that their is a large segment of the population that has wakened up and has become extremely angry as to what is happening. I told him that more and more people are doing what we are doing and that is talking about was is going on. Look at how many people of my generation the early baby boomers were protesting this past summer. He said he gets a chuckle out of his wife joining the Tea Party Protest, but he is still convinced that everything is preordained. I said that no country on the face of the earth has achieved what the United States has in such a short period of time. He asked Why is that? I responded that the United States has the one document that no other country has ever had and that is its Constitution whereby the power of the country comes from its people and not its government. He asked What I thought was so different about the Constitution? I said that I was proud of my Italian heritage, however, I was so glad that my mother born in this country and realized that she wanted her family to have the advantages that this country has to offer. Though I was only six years old when my family came here I have maintained one thing that has stuck with me through my many years of life. If I was to have stayed in in Italy I would always have been identified " as the son of " I am not by any means ashamed of my birth nor my family, but the idea of being judged or identified not as me the individual but rather the class of my birth makes my blood boil. Through out my youth I would here derogatory comments about my father since he never went to school nor could he barely write his name, but the man made the most of his abilities and here in the United States he was considered successful. This country and its Constitution gives the individual the right to be who he wants to be not his status of birth.

I continued that the people of the United States are not going to give this up without a fight. To many people would die trying to get here to have that chance at what this country has to offer. I am convinced that these politicians that are so obsessed with their need for power over others are going to get a rude awaking. He asked who I thought would be the next President and I replied the Lady from Alaska- Sarah Palin she is not one of them she is one of us. He agreed that Palin would be the next President.

Some customers came in and I cut our conversation off so I could do some business.
